Why It means so much to me!
I really hadn't realized what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. I went to Penn State Abington and took some classes trying to find my niche in life. I found that Penn State wasn't for me and feeling like I had nowhere to go from there I settled for Community College of Philadelphia. While at CCP I realized I wanted to be a nurse well I always wanted to be a nurse, but I let people get to me and tell me that I wasn't cut out for it. I thought to myself why should I let others tell me what I can and cannot do. So I set out to become a nurse or so I thought. I realized year's later that nursing wasn't for me, but the need to help people was still there.I needed to help people in another way. My second passion besides playing music on my saxophone is baking and cooking, even though I don't get to do it often. It relaxes me and sends me into another world. I realize now that maybe I can help peoeple by creating beatiful cakes and pastries and helping them to create beautiful memories with friends and families. So I went to an open house at The Restaurant School and fell in love with the people and the facilities at the school, and after talking it over with my wonderful boyfriend I decided this is what I wanted to do and I started the application process, It was a long wait but I finally recieved the letter in the mail saying that I was accepted to the school. It was such a relief and such a weight was lifted off my shoulders. So I went to the openhouse in September I believe and recived all of my supplies and my Uniforms I was set and ready to go, but classes didn't start until November, So Slowly the days ticked by until the start of class.
